Ross is looking good in Kansas. At the time of this post he has raced more than 1800 miles in the 2010 RAAM. It is hard to comprehend that he left the California Coast just last Friday.

Landing on the calander a week after the Inland Empire Century in Richland and a week before the Century ride of the Centuries in Pendleton Scott’s to Scott’s is a good way to keep the peddling addiction going right here in the Columbia Basin.
The Hermiston Scott’s Cycle and Sports location now has a bicycle rental program. In these modern times more and more people are looking for things to do closer to were they live. While renting a bicycle might bring up thoughts of riding on the beach or in other tourist locations you can now have that same experience without the expensive trip. The Hermiston area is actually blessed with a tremendous amount of rural country roads with very little traffic great for short or epic road rides. The Echo West Vineyards/Sno Road Winery mountain bike trail system is also a great place to mountain bike just outside of Echo Oregon. Hermiston’s fairly flat terrain and friendly community is a great place to take a casuall ride though parks and neighborhoods. You can now rent either Road, Mountain or Sports Comfort style bicycles and have a vacation right in your own back yard.
These models are now available to rent at the Hermiston Scott’s Cycle and Sports location

Sunday road bike rides leaving from Scott’s Cycle and Sports Hermiston are now happening every Sunday.
The winter weather has had a break and road rides Start at 10am Sunday Morning led by our spiritual leader father Scott with a growing fellowship from the church of the bicycle. If you need real guidance these religious men have been known to lend advice on how to change a flat and the best way to work as group to break the winter wind.
While not a substitute for the traditional Sunday gatherings it has proven to be good for the soul and is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle.
